Our social workers work alongside those who may need support through a particular illness. Your social worker partners with you and your Golden Health and Wellness care team to help you and your loved ones understand your diagnosis, treatment, and any medical procedures you may be facing. The social services worker will also be happy to discuss any worries or concerns you may have and ensure your voice is heard and your wishes are carried out throughout your course of treatment.
Our Purpose
Golden Health and Wellness social workers can also help you sort through difficult life circumstances such as financial hardships, family dynamics, living arrangement coordination, or assisted living decisions. A social worker has access to and information on community resources throughout Miami-Dade county and surrounding areas that you might not be aware of and that you would qualify for to further assist in your time of need. Some of these services include transportation to and from appointments, assisted living placement or other housing aids, mental health services, dietary support, socialization opportunities, in-home therapies, and much more.
